White Beeswax BP
Abstract
White Beeswax is obtained by bleaching yellow beeswax. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols. White or yellowish-white pieces or plates, translucent when thin, with a fine-grained, matt and non-crystalline fracture; when warmed in the hand they become soft and malleable. It has an odour similar to that of yellow beeswax, though fainter and never rancid. It is tasteless and does not stick to the teeth.
Use/Application
The three main types of beeswax products are yellow, white, and beeswax absolute. White beeswax is used in the production of food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. It is also a common ingredient of natural chewing gum. In small quantities acting as a glazing agent, which serves to prevent water loss, or used to provide surface protection for some fruits.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
