Potassium Iodide is a metal halide composed of potassium and iodide. It is an odorless white solid. Sinks and mixes with water.
Use/Application:
As a medication it is used to treat hyperthyroidism. As a supplement it is used in those who have low intake of iodine in the diet.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
