Abstract
Potassium Bitartrate also known as cream of tartar is a byproduct of winemaking. It is the potassium salt of tartaric acid.

 

Use/Application
Potassium Bitartrate is used for stabilizing egg whites, whipped cream, as an anti caking and thickening agent, to prevent sugar syrups from crystallizing, and as a component of baking powder and sodium free salt substitutes. It is also used as a cleaning agent for metals such as brass, aluminium and copper and in traditional dyeing.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
