Abstract
Calcium Lactate is a black or white crystalline salt made by the action of lactic acid on calcium carbonate. It is used as a food additive and is known by the E number E327.
Use/Application
Calcium lactate is found in cheese crystals. It is used as an antacid, to treat calcium deficiencies, added to sugar free foods to prevent tooth decay, in chewing gum and fresh-cut fruits and in some over the counter mouth washes.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
