Calcium Carbonate BP
Abstract
Calcium Carbonate is the main component of shells of marine organisms, snails, coal balls, pearls and egg shells. It is mainly used as calcium supplement or as an antacid.
Use/Application
Calcium Carbonate is mainly used as a building material in the construction industry. It is also used in the purification of iron from iron ore, in swimming pools as a pH corrector, in the refining of sugar from sugar beet, in blackboard chalks, in the production of glossy paper, as an extender in paints, in adhesives, sealants and decorating fillers and in ceramic/glazing applications.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
